Chocolate Soda

Recipe by Marcia Stanley, MS, RDN, Culinary Dietitian

  • Prep time 5 minutes
  • Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 3/4 cup carbonated water or cream soda
  • 1/3 cup chocolate ice cream (about 1 small scoop)

Milk added to a traditional chocolate soda makes it a little richer. Use carbonated water, like seltzer water, if you want a pure chocolate flavor. For a slightly sweeter flavor, give cream soda a try. Both versions are scrumptious.

Instructions

  1. Place chocolate syrup in 16-ounce glass. Add milk. Pour in carbonated water or cream soda. Stir until foamy. Add ice cream. Serve immediately.
