Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Forget cinnamon toast. Just keep this maple-cinnamon butter on hand. It quickly spreads over warm breads, giving them an explosion of flavor.

Instructions

  1. In small bowl combine butter, powdered sugar, maple syrup and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed. Spoon into small bowl or crock. (Or shape into 4-inch-long log.) Cover and refrigerate.
  2. Before serving bring butter mixture to room temperature. Serve on toast, biscuits, muffins, scones, waffles, pancakes, popovers or English muffins.

Yield: 1/2 cup; 8 servings
