Labneh Spread

Ingredients
- 12 ounces yogurt, whole milk Greek
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- sea salt, for garnish
- Fresh herbs, for garnish
This traditional Middle Eastern spread is delicious and fresh tasting. Serve with grilled pita and assorted vegetables for an appetizer.
Instructions
- Mix together Greek yogurt, salt, and lemon juice.
- Transfer mixture to a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth.
- Wrap the mixture in the cheesecloth and let strain in the refrigerator for 24-48 hours over a bowl. The longer it strains, the thicker it will become.
- Once thickened, remove from cheese cloth and top the spread with olive oil, a pinch of sea salt, and fresh herbs.
- Serve with grilled pita and assorted seasonal vegetables.
